CHANEL
spring-summer 2024
A romantic collection with a nonchalant spirit, JANE takes you behind-the-scenes of the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2024 model fittings.
Inspired by the artistic spirit of French villa Noailles, the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear collection was an ode to cubist and modernist silhouettes, with a sensual energy exuding throughout.
Nowhere was this energy more keenly felt than in Look 063—where a romantic collar and diaphanous layers were anchored by striking accessories in the form of powder blue knee-highs and voluminous evening gloves.
Overall, the kaleidoscope of rich floral embroideries and graphic tweeds paid homage to Noailles’ terraced gardens and the striking lines of its avant-garde architecture. But there was a subtle nonchalance about the collection’s sophisticated elegance—which effortlessly reflected the villa’s home in the south of France.
Babydolls and petticoats in black organza lent a transparent touch, while bows and pleats completed Virginie Viard’s beautiful ‘study of life in motion’.
